MLM complaints are about as expected as the common cold. Sooner or later you’re going get them. But it’s really important to keep an open mind and a good understanding where these concerns originate from and how to properly evaluate them. There is not doubt that the MLM home based business industry has endured it’s share of bad apples. But frankly, some objections are merely a product of unrealistic expectations and poor mindset.
Here are the three most common MLM complaints or objections I hear and why you shouldn’t be too concerned with them.
- MLM is a pyramid. Well, yes, this is true. So is the company you work for, most likely. The only difference is that most people don’t voice their displeasure at knowing that the CEO of their company will make tons more money than they will. Just about any business or organization, including our government, is structured as a pyramid. A pyramid “scheme,” on the other hand, is where money is passed around with no tangible product or service delivered in exchange. Those are illegal and should be avoided. Most MLM companies, however, are reputable and legit businesses.
- The products cost more. Well, yes and no. On the surface this might appear to be the case. However, your local grocery store, for instance, will not let you buy your groceries for free just for telling a few friends that you like their store. When you purchase goods and products from your own MLM home based business, you essentially pay yourself to build your business and eventually reduce the cost of your products by generating residual income from your referrals. This is the basic premise of leverage. Also, if traditional stores sold the same products made with the same premium ingredients or materials, it would likely cost significantly more to purchase given the added distribution and marketing costs involved in traditional retail.
- You can’t really make money. True. If you don’t work the business and don’t have the necessary marketing training, you will probably fail like 97% of network marketers. However, nothing prevents a single individual from duplicating what the successful 3% of network marketers do to achieve their goals. If it’s possible for one, it’s possible for all.
There are of course other common MLM complaints you may run across. In particular, chasing friends and family members seems to be one of the biggest drawbacks to what is otherwise a phenomenal industry with arguably the best business model in history for creating wealth and prosperity. However, with the introduction of attraction marketing and internet MLM training, this is no longer an issue. The internet now provides an unparalleled marketing platform that flattens learning curves and can turn any average person into a superstar seemingly overnight. It’s a trend that picks up steam every single day with no signs of slowing down. In other words, stop worrying about MLM complaints and what’s wrong with the industry. Join MLM and learn the new rules of how to run your business the right way. Now more than ever, the opportunity is truly open to anyone willing to achieve success.
