Internet MLM Training: Are you an network marketing poser?
I admit it, I drank the kool-aid the first time I started digging into internet mlm training and marketing. Put up a single-page website that would convince people to leave their contact information without ever speaking a word to them? Sure, why the heck not.
Oh, and 15-20% of the time, they will buy a product that was automatically marketed through an online funnel? Oh yeah, that sounds real good too.
But you know what? There’s a risky side to this enticing proposition. See, most of us become attracted to internet mlm training and marketing funnels like MyLeadSystem Pro or Magnetic Sponsoring because we’ve been through the trenches before.
Then these systems come along offering a better way to get results. Especially when you consider the ability to generate leads on auto-pilot. Add in the fact that you can literally market many affiliate income streams to your leads, and you can forget the light bulb going off. It’s super nova time, right?
Look, that’s all great and fun. And internet MLM training has definitely changed the outlook of my life now that I’ve mastered the art of consistent lead generation. And yes, I certainly use a system because you can’t be successful marketing online without one.
But you have to remember, network marketing is still about connecting with people. No amount of internet MLM training will remedy that. A sales page can never replace the human connection that breeds trust and rapport. If you’re not keen on picking up the phone, and all you want is to sell products through a website, then become an affiliate marketer. That’s probably your best path.
But if you’re in it for the long-term residual income—the kind of income that will be there whether your website shuts down or not, you need to pick up the phone and call somebody. Especially when your optin leads leave a phone number. That’s a virtual hand-raise saying: “please call me and walk me through this, I want to learn more.”
See, here’s what I’m learning as I now start to sort through the 20-30 leads I’m getting each day thanks to Facebook marketing and article marketing. If I add the word “optional” on the phone field, I get TONS of leads. The minute I take of the word “optional,” even though it’s still not a required field, the leads go down significantly.
But you know what, I’m ok with that. Because I’d rather have 10 phone numbers at the end of the day, than 30 email addresses. No page will close a prospect better than you will once you get even slightly decent at it. Always remember that.
That said, I do love a good system. I personally use MyLeadSystem Pro and would never launch my business without it. It has single-handedly trained me to be an internet marketer, connected me with my awesome mentors and helped me build my brand.
