It’s no secret that content marketing, specifically blogging and article marketing have become popular, if not indispensable strategies for marketing your your network marketing business online. In fact, aside from traffic generation, mastering good copywriting skills is the biggest driver of profits for any internet marketer.
Just recently I spoke with a fellow colleague who declared article marketing to be his favorite marketing activity. And I will tell you that in the 10 months since he got started implementing attraction marketing, he is doing exceptionally well.
But these days that seems to be the exception more than the rule. And it’s starting to rub me the wrong way, because frankly, if you just add a little thought and creativity, writing decent copy isn’t that hard.
An authentic voice and valuable content will go a long way, regardless of skill level. Which means, you don’t have to be the second coming of Dan Kennedy to do well. Although it wouldn’t hurt to get as much quality training as you can.
Unfortunately, part of the problem is that for the inexperienced, the term search engine optimization (SEO) appears to be synonymous with: find every short-tail and long-tail keyword and cram your article with as many of them as possible.
I hate to break it to you guys, but Google and company hire ridiculously smart engineers to come up with complex search algorithms so sophisticated, most of us might as well be looking at alien hieroglyphics. In other words, spamming your content with keywords isn’t going to fool anyone. The bots will know what you are up to and you’ll get no lollipop for being a sneaky little boy or girl.
But the more egregious offense is that you provide limited value, if any, to your visitors.
Seriously, I have read articles that are so obviously manipulated for keyword density that they either don’t make sense, or address the reader like they are still in grade school. Not good. Or engaging for that matter.
Organic SEO needs to be an important part of every internet entrepreneur. But this is a much broader strategy than just keyword research and optimization. It takes time, effort and thoughtful execution to fully realize tangible results. You’re only kidding yourself if you think you’ll get the best results writing with the engagement factor of an IRS instructional pamphlet.
Remember, generating MLM leads via attraction marketing principles is first and foremost about delivering exceptional value to your audience. So make that your primary objective understanding that the internet is all about engagement and transparency. Deliver, or lose your audience to the plethora of content choice they now have. After all, what good is getting all the traffic in the world if you can’t keep them on your page and get them to build a relationship with you.
And remember, even the best SEO practices need a little time to generate targeted leads. For more immediate and significant results, check out this system of tools and resources designed to turbo boost your lead generation efforts and results.
Also, there’s only one Dan Kennedy, but that doesn’t mean you can’t learn to write like him. Here’s a great training course that will sharpen your copywriting skills and dramatically increase your conversions.
To your continued to success…
